Something to share

This is something i've created to share with my beloved....teachers...hope you'll like it. Should you think you need to modify it, do it la, just mail me back a copy, so that we could learn more. Haha.

This system currently can process 50 pupils / class, for 10 classes. Well, although it might not work for some really BIG school, but it'll work for many schools. Haha. Enjoy it...

Here's the link for you to open it. https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B68FrzgJZecqZDIzOTlhMTctNTQ2OS00YmY4LTk2MjEtODdmODIyODJlMmRl&hl=en&authkey=CLaX8vgJ

What do you think of it, let me know.

What's the point of having a man/woman doing a computer's work....haha

Wait, how it works?
OKOK...relax.
Click on the link and download it. Its size is about 1MB. So it should be quite fast. Save it on the desktop, then, after downloading, right click on it, choose unzip / extract here. You'll see a folder on your desktop. Well, everything is in there. Hehehe.....this is something i like...haha. Share with others la, at your own risk though....haha

Infectious...

That day, our class learned about the importance of a conducive environment in buidling a child's language acquisition, so the word for the day was "FLOOD", however, yesterday, it was "Kacang" (peanuts), well, you know the story best if you're in the class....haha

What not, we even had a person performing catwalk in one of the session. My my, no wonder they always say that English teachers are noisier but always more cheerful than others. Haha. I guess the language has something to do with it...

Say, having a man to cat walk is not as bad as we thought. Haha.

And, a few days ago, as i was reading some news articles, i found something intreresting from the articles, of which i think is quite useful for a friend of mine, so, i kept them and is going to give her those articles.

There was also a surprise this morning, well, most of the time i don't judge the value of the book by its price, but having to read (and still reading) one book that was thin but cost over RM300, i was quite surprised to know that the other book i burrowed from the resource centre was valued at more than RM400, thinner and smaller in size, god knows how the price was decided, but nonetheless, the content was quite awsome, if only they have a bigger version and we have less coursework....

Well, 2 more weeks, and we're off. Sure gonna miss you all, the funny CPELTians....especially from Group 2...best of luck

Grammar Approach

Well, today learnt a new grammar approach, which is the Communicative Approach. While being communicative in nature, the question i have is, will it work in a typical Malaysia classroom? Or rather, is there some ways that a teacher can really finds balance between having a communicative classroom yet being able to maintain the situation of it?

Perhaps it's high time for me to know more about ways to engage students, as well as ways of having the class under appropriate control...hehe. But then again, the question about, would there be any purposeful communication if the class is under certain amount of control by the teacher....come on, face it, teacher will be held reliable if there's unwanted incidents in it...although it's not something bad, but nonetheless, it's not helping us by holding us for everything and yet wanting more from a limited situation....what's wrong with them anyway...i personally believe that we're all trying our best, sometimes no doubt it's quite demotivating, but i believe there are many of us who are still not giving up despite the limited situation...it's not the failure to achieve something that's causing the frustration, but it's the struggle that's causing us to question ourself to whether pursue this quest or simply just give up....

Well, thinking on the bright side, thank god for i'va also managed to complete and add one more feature in the file for the evaluation and assessment file...hehe....i love it when i can complete more than just 1 work by having technology and methods that work...it's just weird, not that i like internet, or technologies, but the fact remains that i do need them to complete more work...

Aaanyway, since that's what a computer is good for, number crunching and doing calculations, i think letting it play its roll it's the best option and decision a teacher could say...what do you think? Do leave me a comment on that....

And to our new reader, Ms. Lxxxxx, welcome...haha. Do drop me a line or 2, don't worry...haha

Grammar

So, what exactly is grammar? Hmm, makes me wonder. Well, to me, grammar is something like gears.

With the right gears, you can not just do things better, in fact, you can achieve more without realizing it yourself!

Can teachers write well?
